Each lunch time, Daniel Murdoch (SSO) opens up the garden area to students who wish to get their hands dirty and participate in caring for the schools’ garden. The children learn about seasonal produce, sharing and taking turns while being active and having fun with their peers.
On Thursdays, Daniel and Aunty Elaine (ACEO) run a pop-up garden to plate station for kids to prepare, eat and enjoy the fruits of their labour. This term the students have enjoyed cauliflower rice, beetroot and carrot salad and celery and apple dip just to name a few… I wonder what the MasterChef’s will cook up next term?
