The Grange Green Thumbs

by Jul 1, 2022

The Grange garden has had many little gardeners visit over term 2. From planting, maintaining, digging and building to harvesting, prepping and eating. Each lunch time, students arrive with enthusiasm, their sleeves rolled up to lend a hand and ready to explore.

This term we have a large crop of cauliflower, broccoli, lettuce, spinach and citrus fruits. Thanks to Daniel and Aunty Elaine who turn the harvest into delicious and healthy food stations each Thursday.

This kind of experience at break time allows the students to reset in a natural and calm environment and return back in the classroom ready to learn.

Thank you to Daniel Murdoch and Luke Stewart who maintain the space and supervise the children each day.
