The Oliphant Science Awards is an annually held competition for South Australian school students from Reception to Year 12 to develop their interest in science through a science based competition with a range of categories to suit a wide variety of abilities and interests.
Grange students have competed in the competition over a number of years.
The work is completed at home over a number of weeks where students; construct models and inventions, grow crystals, devise games, show science understanding by constructing posters and taking photographs as well as online submissions in science writing and investigations as well as multimedia entries.
Students should be very proud of their efforts and parents need to be thanked for their support and tireless work that goes on behind the scenes to help their child complete their entry.
Unfortunately this year due to COVID, there will be no open day at the judging venue but you will be able to check the Oliphant Science Awards Website in September to see their Virtual Open Day platform with all the winner’s details!
