Mayoral Make-A-Book Literacy Challenge winners are in!!

by Nov 19, 2020

This year a record number of Grange Primary School students took part in the extremely popular Mayoral Make-A-Book Challenge ran by the City of Charles Sturt council.

This wonderful competition allowed 42 of our budding authors and illustrators the opportunity to get creative and produce their very own book. Students enjoyed all stages of the process from brainstorming the storyline to multiple edits, right down to the final print.

A very big congratulations to the following 18 participants who have been awarded:

  • Lukuach Athieu
  • Malie Thorne
  • Enzo Larritt
  • Charlotte Parker
  • Clayton Kemp
  • Evie Martin
  • Ruby Phillips
  • Manuel Docampo
  • Anouska Caroscio
  • Sonja Fountain
  • Montanna Zaimis
  • Ethan Haines
  • Kayla Petherick
  • Alex Armstrong
  • Paige Buckley
  • Natalie Howard
  • River Meyers

Teachers play an integral role in fostering the love of bookmaking and the students gained immense self-satisfaction in being able to publish their own “best-seller”.

Congratulations and thank you goes to each and everyone involved.
