This term in Japanese lessons, the students have been learning all about traditions of the Cherry Blossom Festival (Hanami). To celebrate the waving goodbye of winter and welcoming of spring, we held a whole school sushi picnic (weather forced us to take it inside) with our buddy classes.
The coming to together symbolised fun, friendship, peace and hope. We also raised $668 for Heart Kids through our casual day demonstrating our kind and generous community spirit.
A huge thank you to Sensei Killey and Sensei Suzuki for making it such a wonderful celebration.
