Spring has sprung and the Grange Garden is flourishing. Many of our students are enjoying getting their hands dirty, tending and caring for their plants and learning about good nutrition and the benefits fruits and vegetables provide us. Soon they will be able to harvest and start tasting the fruits of their labor, hopefully they will also try something new.
We have also found it’s a wonderful outlet for children, as an alternative during lunchtime, to reset and refocus in a quiet, peaceful space before returning to the group environment and ready to learn.
Thank you to Daniel Murdoch who does an outstanding job co-ordinating and maintaining the garden to allow the children a safe and beneficial space to enjoy.
“We might think we are nurturing our garden but of course it is our garden that is nurturing us”
