Always Was, Always Will Be.

by Nov 10, 2020

This week we are celebrating NAIDOC week at Grange Primary School. Always Was, Always Will Be recognises the first people of our wonderful country and the way the Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islanders are spiritually and culturally connected to their land.

At Monday’s NAIDOC celebration assembly, we were visited by special guests Robert, Harley and Harley. The children learned about the significance their stories, music and dance have in the culture and history. We later gathered on the oval to be involved in the filming of a beautiful Aboriginal flag display alongside our visitors. We look forward in sharing this with you all soon.

This week is a great opportunity to participate in a range of activities and to support our local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.

A massive thank you must go to Sara Bingapore, Amy Kretschmer and Nick Warren for their hard work in making the celebrations such an amazing success.
