In week 8, the year 6 students went on a 3 day adventure to Glenhaven Park, Stockport.
They enjoyed various activities such as team tower challenges, high and low rope climbing, archery, raft building and the infamous Leap of Faith.
These activities were designed for students to step out of their comfort zone and conquer their fears, to gain more self awareness of emotions, how they view themselves as learners and how to work together as a team.
A big thank you to staff members Mary Xenides, John Mastropaolo, Jack Opolski, Daniel Moyle, Susan Wilson, Kayla Hicks and Chad Comitogianni for organising and facilitating this opportunity for the students. An additional heartfelt thank you, must also go to our parent volunteers Brett Harvey and Nicola Tate for giving up their precious time, I’m sure this experience and the memories will stay with them for many years to come.
